Oseas Villatoro X Elise Trouw
From New York Fashion Week, to Mexico Fashion Week, San Diego, Los Angeles, New York and back, Oseas Villatoro is on a path to dominate the fashion industry with his romantic yet daring designs and contagious drive. To say that Oseas has been busy is a complete understatement. Since we last featured him on the cover of RG Magazine Oseas has been taking the fashion world by storm and has flawlessly teamed up with the talented, young and beautiful Elise Trouw to show that San Diego knows a thing or two about style.
Truly a triple threat, Elise Trouw is a multi-instrumentalist singer-songwriter from San Diego with musical talent of over ten years. At only sixteen years old, Elise possesses a refined, mature sound that suggests she has experience beyond her years. What began as a deep passion for all things music, her talent started on the piano, the carried over to drums, bass, guitar and now vocals, which have evolved her into an artist to look out for.
Over the years, Elise has been inspired by Radiohead, The Police, Adele, John Mayer and Steely Dan. From pop to jazz to alternative, her interest is in a variety of genres. With her own distinct and unique style, she sets herself apart by playing all instruments and singing all vocal parts in each of her songs. She is currently working on her debut album, with her very first single set to release this month.
What inspired you to become a singer?
Honestly, I’ve never really considered myself a singer, because I’ve been a drummer for so long. When I started writing music and lyrics, I would sing, and gradually I improved, realizing that my voice is just another instrument. I began to take singing seriously after deciding to record a solo album with Pacific Records.
What do you hope to achieve in the music industry?
I hope that I can create as many opportunities for myself to work with talented people in the music industry. My goal is to have a lifelong career in music, wherever that takes me.
What did you think of the clothes you modeled in?
Simply put, I felt powerful in Oseas’ clothing. The clean lines and interesting patterns had an elegant, yet edgy feel. One of my favorite outfits was the camouflage crop top and skirt, which made me feel very feminine and strong. I also loved the luxury and mystery of the black fur coat.
