As a child Danika was part of an assortment of theatrical companies that helped her learn about the craft of acting and business end of acting. She loved theatre and one of her inspirations was the famous musical “Rent”. Danika would actually choreograph and star as Joanne in a production of “Rent” in Toronto.  Her skills as a choreographer were evident when she revised two pieces from the play “Take Me or Leave Me” and “Tango Maureen”.

Danika took New York by storm when praise was heaped on her for two shows she starred in; A Night At Danny LaRue’s  and “Figuring Out Will. The first was with The Other Side of Silence (TOSOS) Theater Company directed by Mark Finley with music and lyrics by Bill Solly who Danika would later work with in 2019. Her talent was also recognized when she auditioned for the lead role of Gwen in the latter show and the director Emilie Jensen and producer Alec Kerr tapped her for the part instantly. That play was performed at the esteemed Hudson Guild Theatre.

We do not want to leave out the fact that she is also a singer with some powerful vocal chords. In 2018 she notched continued lead roles in shows like “Nights At The Piano” at the Duplex Theater and “Cool Yule Christmas” with RWS Entertainment Group. In 2019 she has already locked in some important roles. On February 4th Danika starred in “Solly’s Follies” alongside Carl Anthony Tramon and Simon Mulligan on the piano at the venue Don’t Tell Mama. The musical revue featured music from Bill Solly (Boy Meets Boy, The Great American Backstage Musical, Girl, Boyfriend, Piano and more). From February 7-10th she played the lead role of Denise in Patrick McEvoy’s play “Love Cures” at The Players Theatre.

On the horizon are two more shows for St.Denis with Bagela4Art Productions. Georgia Testa, the CEO of Bagela4Art Productions presents an all-female reading of A Midsummer Night’s Dream Tuesday February 12th at The Dixon Place Theater at 2pm. At the forefront of the production are four actresses who will be playing the infamous foursome of tangled lovers; Danika St.Denis as Hermia, Svetlana Orel as Lysander, Kyra Meyers as Helena, and Josephine Ptacek as Demetrius.  The second show produced by Bagela4Art Productions is “That Kind Of Love” (February 19th 9:30pm at The Duplex Theater)and has Danika playing the lead role of Michaela Fisher. It follows Michaela as she navigates the love, lust, and heartbreak of pursuing a New York City romance…with a little help from her friends.

iDanika has proven to be a sought after actress and singer for any type of show. Catch her while you can.
