Arianna Wellmoney knew that whatever she managed to accomplish in Italy would only carry over in New York. This much is true. So far, she has graced the screen and the stage with one project after another. After completing her studies at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts she was off and running. While at the academy she starred in the project Ellen McLaughlin’s Tongue Of a Birdwhich was directed by Lisa Milinazzo.

She is not only a talented actress but even produced a few short films during her high school years like Diritto al Lavoro: TG Pacle”, which was premiered at Bicocca University in 2013.When she began her acting journey, she locked in a role in Alpha NYC’s production of Romantic Foolsby Rich Orloff, where she played the character Lori. When it comes to which medium, she enjoys most film or theatre she has no real preference.

“I did mostly film work back in Italy. I filmed my first movie at age 10 and when I was in high school, I acted in, directed and produced a Webseries, called “PACLE”. When I moved to New York on the other hand, I started doing a lot of theater, including Off Broadway productions like “Enoptromancy” (Theater 80 St Marks) and “Antigone” (Queens Theater). I think both mediums have their own qualities and challenges – I think when it comes to theater it is all about the process, about developing a character with your scene partner(s) and Director, while on a movie or TV set you often do not have much time to build things from the ground up with other people – you kind of have to rely on your homework and trust the moment. That can be very scary sometimes!”

Arianna has been influenced by many actors and actresses through the years like Jim Carrey, Eddie Murphy and Ben Stiller. But if there was one that had a profound affect it would be Darren Criss especially for his hard work, kindness and being passionate about what he does. Yet that being the case since working in New York and have access to many shows she has also felt inspired by her actor friends and their talent.

One of her more important roles was when she reprised the role of Tam in project “The Pot”, which she performed at the Schimmel Center which was supported by the United Nations, World Health Organization and Pace University. It was a big honor for her to be working with seasoned actors like Christopher Bailey who approached her about being involved in such a meaningful project.  In addition, to that highlight a play that she wrote called “Extraordinary Aliens” was not only staged at the famous Bitter End in Manhattan but also at the Hollywood Fringe Festival in June 2019 in Los Angeles.

She has graced the TV and webseries mediums since landing in NY. Arianna was featured in two webseries the first entitled “Immigrants Eat it” and the second called “3018” which was associated with Snapchat. Prior to that accomplishment a project she worked on called “Dissonance” earned a spot in the 2018 Short Film Corner at the Cannes Film Festival.

“Working on that film was another great experience – Toby Kearton, The Director, is a genius. We filmed in an active prison, Queens House of Detention, which was also used in the movie ‘Bridge of Spies’, directed by Steven Spielberg. Being in a real prison really helped to set the tone of the film and made everything more realistic than just filming on a movie set, I was so happy that the movie was part of the Cannes Film Festival – when I was 15 years old, I went to Cannes for the festival and never in a million years I would have imagined that a movie I participated in was going be part of it another dream to check off the list.”

Arianna has also appeared in a new TV pilot called “La Santera”, which was filmed in The Bronx.  It is a bilingual production which explores Dominican culture and Santeria. She had to learn the Latin dance bachata for her role which was an experience in itself. On more future projects she is working with director Luca Villa on a show for the upcoming Spring season.  She has many other projects in the pipeline which are in the earlier stages of production. Arianna is a busy actress making her mark in film, theatre and on stage a multi-dimensional talent breaking major ground in America.
