As the headline states, an impossible idea some would say, right? However, in her new book, Dr. Nathalie Beauchamp Hack Your Health Habits—Simple, Action-driven, Natural Health Solutions For People On The Go!asks that question!  Dr. Nathalie is an Ottawa-based Chiropractor and Functional Medicine Practitioner, and an international speaker – she says you can!

Dr. Nathalie’s story: There are some people who inspire us to keep fighting for what we believe is the right path. Dr. Nathalie is a prime example of an individual who did just that. Here was a woman who was going through a very difficult time medically and realized something had to be done before things got even worse. She pulled together all her strength and worked hard to regain her health. Nathalie not only decided to help herself get back to a healthier place in life, but she also looked to guide others on the same path.

As a young girl Nathalie went through a difficult time with her health. She went from a vibrant 128 lb. beauty to being an 89 lb. anorexic. Realizing this drop in her wellbeing, she had to find a way to get back to being the healthy woman she once was. After a period of time and a lot of hard work, she managed to get back to perfect health. Having recovered herself, she wanted to embark on a mission to educate others in the importance of staying healthy and the ramifications of not doing so.

When I was 14 years old, I became anorexic and struggled for many years afterward to be well in body and mind. I had to find a way to heal myself so I became a student of nutrition, fitness, mindset and overall health, this is when I found my purpose and became a doctor and have been on a quest ever since to become the best natural healthcare practitioner I could be for my patients as I want to be that resource that I did not have when I was 14 years old. That is why I wrote the book Hack Your Health Habits—Simple, Action-driven, Natural Health Solutions For People On The Go! and also created an online coaching program, have a podcast, do regular TV and radio—to help people and be a resource for others.”

Her first step in building on this mission was when she completed her BA in Human Kinetics from the University of Ottawa. In addition, she attended the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in Toronto as a Doctor of Chiropractic. She would use this knowledge and become a wellness consultant and a lecturer. Nathalie would appear on TV and radio as well as being an international motivational speaker. She also practiced what she preached becoming a professional natural body-builder.

We have been bombarded with “quickie remedies” to get to a better place health-wise and it can be frustrating and confusing. Nathalie explains that the first step consumers need to take is to understand that there is no one-size-fits-all when it comes to good health. Every person is different and has different needs so there cannot be one universal remedy. There has to be a customized approach that would come from having a wellness team in place to assist in accomplishing the specific goals one desires.

Nathalie has proven to be a strong advocate for developing a healthy approach to living and it has been noticed.

In 2007 she received the People’s Choice Award for business of the year and for professional advisor of the year. This great honor did not stop there; she later won the Ottawa Face Award and more recently the community-based award, Professional Business Women Award.

Her desire to educate others on a global scale soon began to take shape. One of her first steps was to release a series of books that would guide the reader on the key elements for a healthier way to live. Her first book was entitled Wellness On The Go: Take the Plunge—It’s Your Life! In conjunction with the book, she started an online coaching program called Roadmap to Wellnessin 2009.  

Recently, she released a new book called Hack Your Health Habits—Simple, Action Driven, Natural Health Solutions for People on the Go! This most recent release focuses on how someone can develop a regiment that would best suit their individual needs.

The book has twelve sections and sixty-two chapters that offer advice on every aspect of natural health. From the first section, “Get Motivated, Organized and Productive To Take Your Health Habits to The Next Level” to the last, “Get on Purpose—Design The Life You Want”, it is packed with valuable information to help someone transform into a healthier individual. It was released in October of 2018 and has made the bestseller list in the Alternative Medicine category on Amazon. She is planning a book tour for the next six months to a year to bring awareness too the book and grab a larger audience. This is all coupled with an online program, webinars and podcasts.

Roadmap to Wellness was my first online coaching program. I have since developed another and more recent online coaching program called Hack Your Health Habits Mastery Program,which is a self-pace membership program, populated with tons of educational videos, quizzes and amazing how-to practical information to walk people step-by-step on their wellness journey. It is in relation to the HYHH book but is a stand-alone course.”

Nathalie is also the founder of The Ottawa Health and Wellness Expo, which she ran for twelve years. It attracted well over 2000 people each year. She eventually moved on from that and became more focused on spreading her message of health and wellness anyway possible. At the moment, on the heels of her latest book release, Nathalie is looking to organize a book tour in her native Canada and expand into the United States. Along with the tour, she is looking to set up lectures on health and wellness events as she travels through these cities. We must note that Nathalie owns and operates the Santé Chiropractic and Wellness Centre, a multi-disciplinary clinic in Orleans.
